Skye Michiels Named Philadelphia Real Estate Agent of the Month

PHILADELPHIA (Mar. 28, 2016) – Real Estate Agent Magazine Philadelphia is pleased to announce that Skye Michiels was named Real Estate Agent of the Month for March 2016.

Skye Michiels began his career as a teacher. With finances wearing thin and living paycheck to paycheck was becoming less appealing, Michiels was encouraged to pursue a license in real estate for a side job to make ends meet. What was supposed to be a part-time job turned into an unbalanced schedule for Michiels.

“I was working all the time,” he says. “I would wake up at 6 a.m and teach until 3 p.m. Then, I’d start selling real estate until 8 or 9 p.m. When I got home, I’d grade papers and prepare for the next day. I’d wake up and do it all over again. There was no stopping.”

Realistically, Michiels acknowledges that continuing his focus on his teaching would’ve been ideal, but he decided to take a chance on real estate. He explained how his mother advised him to never fear the unknown and to be confident in his abilities. In the end, Michiels has no regrets. What was once a side job just to make ends meet is now a true real estate empire with a 10-member team that closed almost $60 million in sales last year.
